CLUTCHEY (b.1878 d.1950)
and Susan KellyBorn in Greenbank, Ontario, Jim was amongst the first of the Clutchey brothers to go West leaving Brechin in Sept. 1907. He homesteaded near Mazenod. later he traded a tractor for a livery and dray business that he ran until his barn was destroyed by fire in 1927. In 1929 he married Susan Kelly an Irish colleen. At the time Jim was 51 and Susan 26. The couple had three children. After their marriage Jim and Susan moved to Rouleau Sask. and later to Vancouver where Jim worked along with his brothr Lou, in a sawmill until his death in 1972. Susan lived to the age of 84. Both are buried in Ocean View cemetery in Vancouver. Their children:
He was born in Rouleau Sask., and married Ann Mary Frison. Tom was employed with Gulf Oil and the couple lived in Halifax, Toronto and Calgary at different periods of time. Tom died of a sudden heart attack at the age of 47. The children of Tom and Ann: David Joseph (b. 1966), Barbara Ann (b. 1967). Barbara married Fraser Brothers.
Ed married Patricia Mary Cooper. He became a very successful business man in Vancouver. Ed and Pat did not have any children.
She died as an infant
Jim married Margaret Louise Catania. He is a retired bank manager, having worked for the Bank of Nova Scotia for 37 years.. Their four children: Andrea Lynn (b.1967), married Steve Weir. William James, (b. 1968), Erin Louise , (b. 1972), Adam Michael (b.1973). The latter three were all single at the time of writing.
