CLUTCHEY ( b. 1871 d. 1929 )

Sarah Jane was the first daughter born to Joseph Clutchey and Mary Jane Gerow. She was born in Borelia and christened in Beaverton her god-parents being Mathew Koster and Mary Clutchey ( her aunt ). In 1891 Sarah married Edward Clapp. Ed was a successful salesman ( he had a car). and probably a 'Mason'. Sarah was substantial both in size and vigour. She and her sister Rose were very close and the both were frequent visitors to the Frank Clutchey farm in Brechin, Ontario. Sarah and Ed's two daughters were Florence who remained single and Mabel who married a Dr. McQuaid. Little else is known of the family.
