Welcome! Thank you for visiting our home page. My name is Erik
Berg and I play the violin
with the Naples
Philharmonic. Have you ever heard of Naples,
Florida?
My wife, Natalie, plays the trumpet
with the Naples Philharmonic. We have been in Naples since 1990.
We have two children now, Elizabeth and
Jonah.
Living in Naples, we
need to keep track of
potential hurricanes very closely. Here are Erik's two favorite sites for
hurricane information (not U
of M):
The National Weather Service: National Hurricane Center tropical prediction center
The South Florida Water Management District's latest hurricane model page
Barometer Bob's Hurricane Hollow page. Select your storm and click on the "NHC Model Guidance Suite" link.
We really appreciate the Naples Freenet.
If you live in the Naples area and use the internet
(woof!), you need to look at this.
It's a really excellent service.
More updates with pictures of the kids.
Here is Elizabeth's picture page.
Here is Jonah's picture page.
Erik's Dad, Dr.
Richard Berg, is head of the University of Maryland's Physics
Lecture-Demonstration Facility. If you're interested in Physics, he
has a collection of over 1400 demonstrations
used in Physics classes. There's even a Physics Question
of the Week and the annual Physics
Olympics competition (event
pictures). He's always talking about how Physics
is Phun. Hmmm. . . .
Erik's
brother, Dwight Berg, works for Public Economics and New
Schools in Virginia. Nice logo! Among other things, he builds
charter schools.
It's difficult keeping track of the thousands of people visiting the web
site, but my best guess is that there have been
people that have visited.
This page
is definitely STILL under construction, and will probably be for a long
time. Kind of like the road
construction going on in Collier County.
Please e-mail
me with any ideas for the page!
