The Naples Girls Basketball Foundation's 12 year old and under team culminated a good year with the taking ofGOLDmedals in the 1996 Florida State Sunshine Games in Gainesville Florida. The Team consisting of Coaches: Tim Philbrick,Pierre Eaton Players: Julie Abrocrombie, Ashely Cecil, Erin Cecil, Alexia Chandler, BillieJo Dihigo, Kristy Hartley, Kirsti Jones, Jennifer Leete, Sara Payne, Rebecca Peolini, Kari Schneeberger, Kelly Schneeberger and Brittany Wilson had the experience of their lives by competing in the Sunshine Games. This team enjoyed a 20 win 5 loss season which has been the best record ever recorded with the Basketball Foundation was achieved thru hard work and dedication, The 12 and under team took 1st place in the Venice Invitational and 2nd place in the Florida State Championship games. Succumbing only to the Seminole County team ranked 9th in the nation. CONGRATULATIONS to this team. Naples is proud of you as are the parents and coaches of these girls. The girls are awaiting next year with great anticipation.
