There will not be a Parish
Council election January as three candidates have come forward for the three
open seats on the Council. They are
exemplary members of the parish and we are grateful to Lynne, Andy and Tom for
their willingness to serve the people of San Marco. They will take their places on the Council in
February 2010.
As we look ahead, however,
we would encourage parishioners to become more involved in Council matters and consider
running for election in 2011. While an
advisory body to the Pastor, the Council is an important forum for the
discussion of pastoral, liturgical and financial concerns. Please pray for our parish and the
effectiveness of our Council. Thank you.
