Heaters, salt water supplies, and pumps will be needed, as well as filtration systems. Mullet will be purchased at the beginning of the project and until mullet can actually be raised.The tanks will be covered, and fencing will be placed around the tanks for safety. A wood platform will be built to hold the tanks.
Silvia Miles will be consulting with Everglades City School staff and coordinating the activities of the other partnerships. At this level of responsibility she will receive a consulting fee of $25.00 for hour.
Resources of the Whitaker Center will be used to write the curriculum provide data analysis, test hypothesis in environmental areas and provide additional expertise through the Advisory Council.
