The Whitaker Center was established through a $360,000 grant from The Whitaker Foundation awarded to Collier County Public Schools. The Center is a 2,000 square foot facility equipped for environmental, agricultural, weather, and transportation studies. The array of resources including Distance Learning technology and a strong Advisory Council consisting of local scientists, engineers, business and industry leaders, also provides Collier County Public Schools the opportunity to initiate satellite learning centers directly on school grounds if outside funding is secured.
